The blueprint of ‘Ansar Antrim’ was kept in a secret meeting, this is how the balloon of white collar terror module burst
Jammu and Kashmir Police have uncovered an alleged ‘white collar terrorist module’, which was created jointly by several doctors. According to the police, the name of this organization was ‘Ansar Antrim’ and its objective was to carry out terrorist activities.
After the organization was discovered, the police arrested many doctors in this case. National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials claimed on Sunday that the accused had adopted fundamentalist ideology in the year 2016.
Who is testing this module?
Officials said on Sunday that this module is now being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The investigation has revealed an emerging operational network and a strong financial structure that could have supported separatist and anti-national activities.
Security agencies have identified and frozen more than 8,000 Mule accounts active in the area in the last three years. According to officials, this was a highly organized and complex money laundering network.
Officials described these accounts as the weakest but most important link in the chain of cyber crime. He says that without these accounts it would not have been possible to convert the stolen money into faceless cryptocurrency.
How do swindlers show their cleverness?
Officials said that the transaction of fraudulent amount is deliberately made complicated. The money is rapidly transferred to multiple accounts and divided into small amounts to avoid detection by investigating agencies. Central agencies have also clarified that even if Mule account holders do not directly plan the fraud or interact with the victims, they play an active role in money laundering. By sharing banking details and taking commission, they provide the “financial infrastructure” for international crime.
How did Delhi blast accused form Ansar Antrim organization?
This module has come to light at a time when there was a car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi on 10 November 2025, in which 15 people died. Based on the evidence collected so far, officials said that the accused doctors, Muzmil Ganni, Umar-un-Nabi (who is now dead), Adil Rather, his brother Muzaffar Rather (absconding), Maulvi Irfan, Qari Aamir and Tufail Ghazi – were found in April 2022 at Eidgah in downtown Srinagar.
In this meeting they had decided to form a terrorist organization named ‘Ansar Antrim’. Adil was made the ‘Amir’ (head) of the organization, Maulvi Irfan was made the ‘Deputy Amir’ and Ghani was made the treasurer. Officials said that the word ‘Ansar’ is generally considered to be associated with the global banned terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.
Why was there a need for organization?
The arrested doctors and clerics told during interrogation that the need to form a new organization arose because they had lost contact with active terrorists. Different roles and operational codes were also assigned to the members in the meeting.
In the year 2023, the group decided to purchase fertilizer from Sohna and Nuh areas of Haryana. On the instructions of Umar, NPK (called potassium nitrate in this context) was also purchased from a chemical shop in Faridabad.
Learned how to make IED?
During interrogation, the arrested doctors told that Umar gained basic knowledge of making Improvised Explosive Device (IED) by watching online videos and was successful in preparing Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP). TATP is a powerful peroxide explosive, which has been used in many terrorist attacks.
Were more people going to be recruited into the organization?
According to officials, Adil started looking for members for the new organization and included Danish alias Jasir from South Kashmir. Adil took Danish to the rented accommodation of Al-Falah University in Faridabad, where he saw Omar and Ghani preparing TATP explosives. Later Umar tried to convince Danish to carry out a ‘fidayeen’ (suicide) attack, but Danish refused at the last moment. He said that suicide is prohibited in Islam.
What was Umar-un-Nabi’s plan?
28-year-old Dr. Umar-un-Nabi of Pulwama is considered to be the most radical and main operator of this network. Officials suspect that he was planning to carry out a powerful car IED blast through a network spread across Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Evidence indicates that his basic plan was to plant a VBIED in a crowded place, possibly the national capital or a religious place, and then escape. However, this conspiracy weakened after the arrest of Ganni and recovery of explosive material in the investigation of Srinagar Police. It is believed that due to this panic, a premature explosion occurred outside the Red Fort.
How was the secret of the network revealed?
This interstate network was exposed on October 19, when Jaish-e-Mohammed posters were found on the walls in Bunpora of Naugam on the outskirts of Srinagar. Srinagar Police registered a case and examined the CCTV footage, after which three local youths – Arif Nisar Dar alias Sahil, Yasir-ul-Ashraf and Maqsood Ahmed Dar alias Shahid were arrested. Cases of stone pelting were already registered against these three.
On the basis of interrogation, Maulvi Irfan Ahmed, a former paramedic of Shopian and later became an Imam, was also arrested. The allegation is that he provided posters and used his influence to inspire doctors towards radicalism.
