Stranger Things’ last episode came out on the very last day of December resulting in a mix of reactions like people being teary-eyed, angry, emotional and disappointed at the same time if the social media reactions are to be considered.
The creators of the Netflix show the Duffer Brothers talked about Eleven’s destiny in a conversation with the OTT platform letting out whether she would get through the Upside Down in Season 5’s conclusion. Spoilers ahead
Stranger Things 5 Ending: Eleven’s Story Explained
When it is presumed that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) sacrificed her life in the process of saving Hawkins and the entire world from the Upside Down being blown up, Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) shares one final story during a session of Dungeons and Dragons with his pals.
In his opinion, Kali (Linnea Berthelsen) rendered one last service to Eleven before her death and assisted her in getting out of the Upside Down.
He also envisions a happy ending for Eleven, in which she relocates to a village and visits the waterfalls he had imagined for her.
This theory is never validated in the series thus making it unclear whether Eleven survived to narrate the story.
