It is advised to keep children away from firecrackers and fireworks. Firecrackers etc. should be burnt with caution. If suddenly there is any kind of spark or burn, what should be done first? Today we are going to tell you what should be done first.
The first thing you should do in case of a minor burn is to soak the burnt area in cool water for about 20 minutes. Then wash the burnt area with mild soap and water.
Placing a clean wet cloth on the burnt area helps in relieving pain and swelling. You can apply a cold compress to the burn wound for 5 to 15 minutes. But try not to use extremely cold compresses as they can make the irritation worse.
Studies show that aloe vera is effective in healing first to second degree burns. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties, along with which it promotes circulation, and prevents the growth of bacteria. In such a situation, extracting gel from aloe vera leaves and applying it on the affected area can prove beneficial. If you buy aloe vera from a store, make sure it has high aloe vera content.

Honey can help heal minor burns besides having a sweet delicious taste. Honey has anti-inflammatory properties. Apart from this, it is anti-bacterial and antifungal, due to which the burn wound does not heal.
Most people apply coconut oil or ice on burns. But this may make the problem worse. Also, use of toothpaste, ghee, egg white, ice would also be harmful in case of burning.
If you are slightly burnt then apply the juice of basil leaves on that area. This will reduce the burning sensation and there will be no burn marks. If the wound is severe then avoid using it excessively.
Raw potato juice is also applied on burns. It is very cold, this will calm the burning sensation and you will get a lot of relief.
