Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Vishwanathan told the media on Wednesday that former India and CSK captain MS Dhoni is likely to play all the matches in the upcoming 19th edition of the tournament, but the team has not yet decided on his role. He said, ‘According to me, he (MS Dhoni) is likely to play all the matches…His role is a cricketing decision which the cricketing administration will take, not the managing administration. Therefore, he will decide whether he will play as a batsman, keeper-bat, or impact player.
During this, Vishwanathan praised Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubey for their excellent performance in the T20 World Cup 2026. He said, ‘I am very happy that the Indian team has won two World Cups in a row, and we are also happy because our two CSK players, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubey, have performed very well… This gives us a lot of confidence that they will also do well for our team CSK.’
