WhatsApp Feature- New feature coming on WhatsApp, your tension will end, know about it
Friends, as we all know that WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging app of today’s modern era, which has more than 4 billion users all over the world, the company brings new features for its users, similarly the company is reportedly working on a new storage management feature, which will make it very easy for the users to free up space on their smartphones. Let us know about this feature-
WhatsApp is working on a smarter storage management feature
WhatsApp already has a “Manage Storage” section where users can see which chats, groups and channels are taking up the most storage space. From there, non-essential files can be manually deleted.
WhatsApp is now planning to extend this function to status updates as well. Once this feature arrives, users will be able to identify which Status updates are taking up more storage and quickly delete the media if needed.
This means that users no longer have to wait for the Status update to automatically disappear after 24 hours. Videos and media files from specific Status updates can be removed directly from the storage management section
Feature seen in beta version
The feature is currently in development and was recently spotted in WhatsApp Android beta version 2.26.20.6. The company is still testing this function, and is expected to roll it out to users through a future update once development is complete.
New “After Reading” privacy feature also in development
Along with the storage management feature, WhatsApp is also working on a new privacy-focused feature called “After Reading”.
This feature will allow messages to disappear immediately after being read. When setting up Disappearing Messages, users may also get additional timing options, such as:
• Disappear immediately after reading
• Delete automatically after 5 minutes
• Delete automatically after 1 hour
• Auto-delete after 12 hours
Additionally, if a message is not read, it will automatically disappear after 24 hours, according to reports.
