Avoid being added to unknown groups

If you also do not like that you are being added to the WhatsApp group without permission and this has upset you, then by making a setting you can overcome this problem. By default the setting for adding to groups on WhatsApp is Everyone, but you can change it. After which no one will be able to add you to any group without your permission.

how to set up

  • Click on the three dots on the top right side.
  • Click on Settings and then click on Account.
  • Go to Privacy and click on Groups.
  • Everyone will appear, after clicking on which there will be two other options along with Everyone: My Contact and My Contact Accept.
  • By setting Everyone, anyone will be able to add you to the group without permission.
  • In My Contacts, only those people who are in your contact list will be able to add to the group.
  • By selecting My Contact Accept, you can select the people who will be able to add you to the group. After clicking on this option you will be able to select selected people.
