WhatsApp New Feature: Call not picked up? No problem, now send video messages directly, no hassle of typing.

News India Live, Digital Desk: We all keep calling on WhatsApp throughout the day. But does it often happen to you that you call a friend or family member for some important work, and the person in front of you does not pick up the phone? It feels very angry, isn’t it? And what becomes more irritating is when after the call is disconnected you have to go back to the chat and type “Hey brother, why is he not picking up the phone? Call me.” Or you have to record a voice note. This whole process seems a bit long and boring. But now be happy! Meta has found the solution to this laziness and problem of ours. WhatsApp is bringing such a cool feature (and some people have also got it) which will change your calling experience. It is being called “Instant Voice/Video Message for Miss Call”. Let us understand in simple language how it works and how beneficial it is for you. Now the magic will happen on the ‘calling screen’ itself. What used to happen earlier? You used to call, the bell would ring, the call would get disconnected and the screen would come back to the chat list. What is the new feature: Now as soon as your call is ‘missed’ or the other person does not pick up the call, you will see a new option on the WhatsApp screen. There you will see two buttons: Voice Message and Video Message. Meaning, you will not have to go back and open the chat. You can speak immediately by pressing a button while still on the same calling screen—”Brother, where are you? I had some urgent work, please call!” And this message will be sent to that person immediately. Feel like old fashioned ‘Voicemail’. Do you remember that system of old telephone? “Leave your message after the beep.” This feature is exactly the same, but in a modern avatar. This feature is a boon for those who avoid typing or are driving. How does it work? (How to use) This feature is very simple: Make an audio or video call to someone on WhatsApp. If he or she does not pick up the phone or hangs up, wait. Once the call is disconnected, the option “Record Video” or “Record Voice” will appear on the screen. Press it, record your message and leave. That’s it! Who has got this feature? Currently, this feature is rolling out for WhatsApp Beta users (Android version 2.25.12.3 and above). If you’re a beta tester, you might see this button to update your app by going to the Play Store. For the rest of the common users, it will be released gradually in the next few weeks.
