WhatsApp Update: Did you press the back button while editing a photo? Don’t be afraid, the feature that will save your life is here
News India Live, Digital Desk: If, like me, you also update WhatsApp Status several times a day, then you must be understanding the pain very well. Suppose you chose a good photo for your status, wrote a nice caption on it, set emojis… and suddenly some work came up or you accidentally pressed the ‘Back’ button. That’s it! All the hard work goes in vain. Everything used to disappear and had to start again from zero. But now be happy! Meta has heard this problem of ours and yours. WhatsApp is now bringing ‘Status Drafts’ feature. It sounds small, but it is no less than a boon for daily users. What is this magic of ‘Draft’? If you use Instagram, then you would know that while creating a story, if we do not post it and back it up, then it gets saved in ‘Draft’. We can come back later and start from there. That’s it, exactly this feature has now come on WhatsApp. Now if you are editing a photo while posting a status, writing a caption and close the app, it will not disappear. When you open the status tab again, you will find your incomplete status saved there. You will be able to complete and post it from there. How will this feature work? It is very easy to use, there is no rocket science in it: You open your WhatsApp status (Status Tab). Select any photo or video and edit it (add caption or emoji). Now instead of posting, press the ‘Back’ button. Earlier all this used to get deleted, but now you will see that status as ‘Draft’ on the screen itself. Next time when you feel like Do it, open it and post it. Why is this feature special? This feature is special because WhatsApp is gradually becoming not just a messaging app but a complete social media platform. Earlier they had provided the feature of ‘Message Draft’ (where the typed message is saved in the chat list), and now they have given the same facility for status also. This update is very useful for those who post creative status and those who take time in editing. When will we get this update? This feature is gradually being rolled out for all Android and iOS users. If you are not seeing this feature now, then immediately update your WhatsApp from Google Play Store or App Store. So friends, now write long captions boldly, even if the app gets closed by mistake, there is no need to worry. WhatsApp has taken your ‘backup’!
