WhatsApp Web Feature- New feature of WhatsApp Web, you will be able to make group calls with 32 people, know complete details about it.
Friends, the world’s most popular instant messaging app WhatsApp is about to bring a new feature, which will be beneficial for its more than 4 billion users. Group voice and video calling is expected to start on WhatsApp Web directly from the web browser. With this new feature, there will be no need to go to mobile or desktop app for group calls, let us know its complete details-
Group call facility soon on WhatsApp Web
WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will let users start group voice and video calls directly from WhatsApp Web. Currently, browser users can only make one-on-one calls, while group calling is limited to mobile and desktop apps only.
With this update, users simply have to open a group chat and tap the call button at the top of the screen to initiate a voice or video call. The feature will also allow users to select specific members to include in a call instead of automatically calling the entire group.
Up to 32 people will be able to participate in a call
The group calling feature coming to WhatsApp Web will allow up to 32 people to join at once, which is equivalent to the calling capability already available on the mobile and desktop versions of WhatsApp.
This improvement will be especially useful for team meetings, online classes, conversations with family members and group discussions held through the browser.
End-to-end encryption to protect privacy
WhatsApp has confirmed that all voice and video calls made through the web version will be protected by end-to-end encryption.
This means that only the people involved in the conversation can hear or see the content of the call. Neither WhatsApp nor its parent company Meta will have access to conversations, ensuring that users’ privacy is maintained.
Call link for easy joining
Another special feature is the ‘Call Link’ feature. Users will be able to create a unique link and share it with others, allowing people to instantly join the call without having to manually add it.
These call links will automatically expire if unused for 30 days, adding another layer of security.
