WhatsApp But soon Snapchat-like camera effects are going to be available, which will make video calling and photo capturing even more fun. Through this feature, users will be able to add filters, background effects and other visual enhancements to their face and hands while making video calls or clicking photos. Some effects can be applied manually, while other effects will be automatically triggered based on the user's expressions and gestures.

How will this new feature work?

This feature can be turned on or off from within the privacy settings, where a new option will appear named “Allow camera effects”.

This feature will apply effects based on facial and hand gestures, giving users a more interactive and expressive experience.

These effects will not affect WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption, and users' privacy will remain completely safe.

Where and when will this feature be available on WhatsApp?

This feature is currently seen in WhatsApp beta version 2.24.22.10 for Android, which is currently available for select beta testers.

Users will be able to easily turn this feature on or off from the camera screen or video call interface.
