Whatsapp will stop working on these Android smartphones from January 2025, check the complete list

WhatsApp will stop working on millions of Android phones that are still running older Android versions. The Meta-owned platform continues to remove devices from its support list, including iPhones, as it evolves and adds new features that require modern OS and hardware.

Android KitKat came out more than 10 years ago and now the Android version is losing support for messaging apps, starting in January 2025. So, if you are still using an Android phone with KitKat version, it is time to upgrade and buy a new smartphone to continue using WhatsApp.

Most people will ask why anyone is still using a phone running Android KitKat, but the fact that WhatsApp still supports the OS means there are benefits to doing so. However, beginning in 2025, this will change forever, and people will need to upgrade too.
