WhatsApp’s blast, now your data will be safe even without Google Drive, new Cloud System feature will create a stir

News India Live, Digital Desk: A revolutionary change is going to happen for crores of users using WhatsApp. Till now, Android users had to depend on ‘Google Drive’ to keep the backup of their chats and media safe, but now WhatsApp is working on a new ‘Cloud System’ which will eliminate this dependency. After the arrival of this update, your data will remain safe on the cloud even without Google Drive and transferring data when changing phones will become easier than ever. What is this new cloud system? (The New Backup Era)Currently, WhatsApp backups are part of Google Drive’s storage. Recently, Google has ended the ‘Unlimited Storage’ feature for WhatsApp backup, due to which the 15GB free quota of users gets filled quickly. To solve this problem, WhatsApp is developing its own backup infrastructure: Independent Backup: This new feature will free WhatsApp from Google Drive or other third-party cloud services. Your data can be stored on WhatsApp’s own encrypted servers. Storage tension is over: Since the backup will not be a part of Google Drive, 15GB of free space of your Google account will be safe. Cross-platform ease: With this new system, transferring chats between Android and iOS will become even smoother, because the backup will be part of the same cloud ecosystem. How will users benefit from this? (Key Benefits) Fast restore: The new cloud system will be able to compress and restore data faster, reducing the time taken to load old messages. Better Privacy: WhatsApp’s own cloud system will come with end-to-end encryption, which will add an extra layer of security. Google Storage Savings: You may no longer need to take a paid subscription to Google One due to WhatsApp backup. When Will this feature arrive? According to reports, this feature is currently in the testing (Beta Version) phase. WhatsApp is planning to gradually roll it out for all users. Initially this feature will be available as an option for those who do not want to use Google Drive.
