‘When crude oil was cheap, they were providing profits to private companies…’ Tejashwi cornered Modi government on rising prices of petrol and diesel.

Petrol and Diesel Price Hike : Amidst the tension in West Asia, the people of India are facing the brunt of inflation. For the third time in the last 10 days, there has been an increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. Along with this, there has also been an increase in the price of CNG. On this, the leaders of the opposition parties have made a big attack on the Modi government at the Centre. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has alleged that when crude oil was cheap, the government was giving profits to private companies by cutting public pockets and now the price is lower than 2014, so the price has been doubled.

In fact, on Saturday, the price of petrol has been increased by 87 paise per liter, the price of diesel by 91 paise per liter and the price of CNG by one rupee per kg. On this, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav wrote in X Post, “Modi government has again increased the prices of CNG Petrol Diesel in the last 10 days. In the last 10 days, the anti-capitalist NDA government has increased the oil prices by about 5 rupees i.e. 50 paise per day. There is still more to increase. Even when crude oil was cheap, they were cutting your pockets and giving profits to private companies even now. The price of crude oil is now much higher than what it was in 2014. It is less but the prices of petrol and diesel have doubled.”

He further wrote, “In the coming days, the public will have to face severe inflation, private sector jobs will be lost, migrant workers will return, small industries and businesses will decrease, poverty and unemployment will increase. The business of hatred, speech making, reels and whoever was chosen for entertainment will continue to get full entertainment. Deep discussion and attention on jobs, poverty, inflation, unemployment, agriculture, villages-farmers, education-health, economy etc. Instead of concentrating, their focus will be on misuse of constitutional institutions, headline management, Hindu-Muslim, temple-mosque, cow-dung and changing names of places.”

Modi government again increased the prices of CNG petrol diesel today. The anti-people capitalist NDA government has increased oil prices by about Rs 5 in the last 10 days i.e. 50 paise per day. There is still more left to grow.
