When husband came from office, dead bodies of wife and daughter were found inside the bed box, suspicion on neighbor
A 35-year-old woman and her 6-year-old daughter were murdered in Delhi’s Sarita Vihar area on Friday night. The bodies of both were found hidden in a storage box inside the bed in the house. The police have named the neighbor as the main accused and have started a raid to nab him.
Police received a PCR call around 10:30 pm on Friday night that two bodies were found in a house in Ali Vihar. Police immediately reached the spot. There, the bodies of Jyoti (35 years old) and her 6 year old daughter were hidden in a storage box under the bed. He was immediately taken to AIIMS hospital, but doctors declared him dead.

death by strangulation
The postmortem was conducted on Saturday, which revealed that death was caused by strangulation and suffocation. Initial investigation did not show any external injury. The final postmortem report is awaited.
Police have identified Deep Dayal as the main accused after initial investigation and questioning the neighbours. He is an accountant and lives in the same building. According to some neighbors, he is the nephew of the victim’s husband. The accused is currently absconding. Police have registered a case of murder under section 103 (1) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
Neighbor Ajay Kumar Giri told that Jyoti and her husband Sundaresan had three children. The two elder children had gone to school and are safe. When the husband returned home at night, he saw that two children were sitting outside. The door was closed for a long time. When he realized something was wrong, he broke the door and entered inside. Items were scattered in the house, but nothing seemed to have been stolen.

Another neighbor Mukesh Kamat said that the husband came at 9-9:30 pm, the door was locked from inside. Knocked several times, but there was no response. The woman had not even received the phone the whole day, due to which the relatives and children were worried. After going inside, it was found that the bodies of the mother and the youngest daughter were lying under the bed.

Police have formed several teams. The crime and forensic team has investigated the place and collected evidence. Raids are going on at many places so that the accused can be caught soon. The investigation is ongoing and the motive is being ascertained.
