When Karan Johar got threat from underworld, Farah Khan narrated the old story

He started his career as a choreographer with Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, released in 1992. Aamir Khan was in the lead role in this film. After this, Farah Khan did not look back and created her own identity in Bollywood.
During a recent interview, Farah Khan recalled the period when the film industry was struggling with the increasing influence of the underworld. He told that at that time filmmakers and artists often had to face threats.
The era of terror of the underworld
In a conversation with YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, Farah Khan said that when she entered the industry, the situation was quite scary at that time. He told that it was around 1993-94, when film producer Mukesh Duggal was shot dead. This incident shook the entire industry.
Farah further said that at that time even the premiere of films was under threat. He revealed that Karan Johar Had received threats from the underworld during the premieres of his films.
Security was increased at the premiere of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’
Farah Khan told that Karan Johar had received threats during the premiere of Duplicate and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. After this the discussion started whether the premiere of the film should be canceled or not.
However, security arrangements were later tightened and the premiere was held. Farah said that Karan Johar was under a lot of stress at that time, because instead of celebrating his film, he had to worry about security and threats.
Made directorial debut with ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released in the year 1998 and was Karan Johar’s first film as a director. Big stars like Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukherjee and Salman Khan were seen in this film. The film was well received by the audience and it proved to be a blockbuster at the box office.

During the interview, Farah Khan also praised Karan Johar. He said that despite getting such huge success, Karan never let it go to his head. According to Farah, Karan Johar is always just a phone call away to help his friends and people from the industry.
