Rain had disrupted that match and Mumbai had a target of 96 runs to win. In that match, Rohit had scored 17 runs on 24 balls. Mumbai had made it to the finals by defeating Hyderabad.
Rohit Sharma did not play the final match because he had to play the ODI series. The final match of Vijay Hazare Trophy was on 20 October 2018. The Indian team was to play an ODI series against West Indies from October 21. Then Delhi and Mumbai clashed in the final match. Mumbai had won the title by defeating Delhi.
