For the first time in 2014, farmers became part of the government’s agenda.
CM Yogi said that farmers have made progress in Uttar Pradesh due to their hard work. When Narendra Modi took over the reins of the country in 2014, for the first time farmers also became a part of the government’s agenda. The earth is our mother and we all are its sons, hence it is the responsibility of the son that when the mother is sick or in trouble, the son helps her out of trouble. For the first time, through Soil Health Card, PM Modi made everyone aware about the health of Mother Earth in 2014. Annadata farmers were linked to the Prime Minister Agricultural Insurance Scheme, then one by one the facilities of the farmers were increased from Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Scheme to PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, guarantee of MSP or from seed to market.

Now farmers get the benefit of every scheme of the government
CM Yogi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi increased the respect of farmers by giving ‘Bharat Ratna’ to the messiah of farmers, former Prime Minister and former Chief Minister of UP Chaudhary Charan Singh. Implemented agricultural loan redemption program for small and marginal farmers. Earlier farmers were not a part of any scheme of the government, but today farmers are getting the benefits of every scheme of the government. Today the middleman does not decide the price of farmers’ crops. If the farmer gets a good price for his crop in the market then it is fine otherwise the government will buy it. Within UP, the production of crops like paddy, wheat, gram, mustard, millet, maize etc. has increased manifold and the cost has reduced. This is the basis of farmers’ prosperity.

Chaudhary Charan Singh was well-wisher of the country, village and farmers.
CM Yogi mentioned the statement of Chaudhary Charan Singh. He always worked in the interest of the country, village and farmers. He used to say that as long as farmers remain poor, India cannot become rich. Rural India is the real India. The path to India’s prosperity passes through the fields and barns of the country. Conscious people power is the basis of successful democracy. When he got a chance in the UP government, he implemented the land reform program. He played an important role in the abolition of Zamindari and Land Reform Act. Mandi Act was passed to stop exploitation of farmers by middlemen. Patwari system was also abolished. Small-marginal farmers were also given exemption in payment of land revenue for plots up to three and a half acres. Fertilizers were exempted from sales tax. Also started the food in exchange for work program. Played an important role in the establishment of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to provide loans for agriculture and rural development schemes.

Farmers move towards prosperity in UP
CM Yogi said that about Rs 75 thousand crore more has been deposited in the accounts of farmers in 8 years than the amount of sugarcane price which was not paid to the farmers in 1996 to 2017 (21-22 years). Recently the price of sugarcane has been increased. The price of early sugarcane has been fixed at Rs 400 per quintal in the crushing season 2025-26. CM said that farmers in UP have moved towards prosperity. If farmers pay attention to new technology and good quality seeds, they are bringing glory to Uttar Pradesh by producing good production at low cost.

Our ministers are also farmers
CM Yogi said that in 8 years the double engine government has established 20 new agricultural science centers with the help of the Government of India. Their number in UP has now reached 89. No state has so many agricultural science centers in 9 climatic zones. Centers of Excellence are being developed.
The Agriculture Department is working continuously. Our ministers (Surya Pratap Shahi, Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan, Baldev Singh Aulakh) are farmers and Sanjay Nishad is working for fish production.

CM also enumerated the works of the government
CM said that to keep the memory of Chaudhary Charan Singh alive, a seed park based on modern technology is being built in Lucknow. If farmers get good quality seeds on time and do farming on time, production can increase by 30 percent. 31 acres have been identified for a state-of-the-art tissue culture lab in Barabanki, which will play a big role in the field of tissue culture (crops like sugarcane, banana, potato etc.). Referring to Padmashree Ramsaran Verma, CM Yogi said that farmers have grown potatoes below the ground and tomatoes above. Every farmer is also trained. This time Kisan Pathshala was set up in his village Daulatpur.

The farmer will prosper only when he is given fertilizer and seeds on time and technology.
CM Yogi said that sugarcane farmers in Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich have made a new record of production of one thousand quintals per hectare. The CM asked the Agriculture and Sugarcane Department to take every farmer there and make them aware of the technology. Farmers will prosper only when they are provided with technology and timely fertilizers and seeds. CM said that if we want to protect ourselves from cancer, kidney-liver and other diseases, the only way to do so is through natural farming.

CM enumerated the works done in the interest of farmers, said – now the speed of the schemes is not slow
CM enumerated the work done in the interest of farmers. Said that the loans of 16 lakh farmers connected to private tube wells have been waived off. Every year the government gives Rs 3600 crore to the Power Corporation. Through cooperative LDB, farmers used to get loan at 11.5 percent interest rate, now it will be available at six percent. The government will do everything in the interest of the farmers. Now the pace of the schemes is not slow. Now farmers are not worried about security. The government stands with the farmers. According to the thinking of Chaudhary Charan Singh, the double engine government will always work for the interests of the farmers.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Yogi government minister Chaudhary Lakshmi Narayan, Dharampal Singh, Dr. Sanjay Nishad, Anil Kumar, Dinesh Singh, Kapildev Aggarwal, Baldev Singh Aulakh, Cow Seva Commission Chairman Shyam Bihari Gupta and many MLAs of BJP and RLD were also present on the Kisan Samman Diwas.
