Mumbai An obsessed lover along with his friends has committed a heart-wrenching incident. Lover brutally murdered his girlfriend’s brother by stabbing him with a sharp weapon. The accused attacked the youth’s body 29 times with a sharp weapon. Taking the matter seriously, the police solved the murder within just six hours and arrested the main accused and his friends. The police have also detained some minors. This entire incident took place in Chandannagar area of Pune district of Maharashtra.

The cousin sister of 18 year old Lakhan alias Sonya Balu Sakat, resident of Ambedkar Complex, Chandannagar, Pune district, was in a love affair with a young man named Yash Gaikwad. Lakhan used to oppose this. There was a dispute between Lakhan and Yash regarding this matter. There was an argument between the two on the same issue on Saturday also. Yash was angry over the argument. On Saturday night itself, he had called Lakhan and called him to Oxygen Park to end the matter. When Lakhan reached Oxygen Park, the argument between the two started again. Meanwhile, Yash along with his associates attacked Lakhan with a sharp weapon. The attackers attacked the body of 29 Bara Lakhan with weapons. As soon as the information was received, Chandannagar police station reached the spot, but the police did not find the body there, only traces of blood were found. The police hurriedly contacted several hospitals and then found out that Lakhan had been taken to a private hospital. By the time the police reached the hospital, Lakhan had died.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Somay Munde, Assistant Commissioner Pranjali Sonawane and Senior Police Inspector Seema Dhakane formed a team and started investigating the case. The police arrested six accused within just six hours. Deputy Commissioner of Police Somay Munde said that the names of the arrested accused are 19-year-old Yash Gaikwad, 20-year-old Prathamesh Shankar Darku, 18-year-old Janakiram Parshuram Waghmare, 19-year-old Mahadev Pandurang Gangasagre, 19-year-old Balaji Anand and 18-year-old Karan Sarvade. Along with these, many minors have also been detained. All the accused are residents of Chandannagar. Everyone is being interrogated.
