Sultanpur A slap in the Mahashivratri fair turned into a bloody conspiracy. The husband had gone with his wife and children to the Mahashivratri fair held at Janwari Nath Dham. There was a fight between the two over some issue. On this very matter he slapped his wife.

The lover standing nearby was watching this scene. Angered by this, the lover entered the house at around 5 am this morning and killed her husband by slitting his throat with a knife.

He fled from the spot after the incident. After this the wife went to her parents’ home with the children. Where the police arrested him. The search for the lover continues. The incident took place in Madanpur Paniyar (Saraiya) village of Lambhua.

Amit Singh, resident of Madanpur Paniyar (Saraiya) of Lambhua, had a love marriage with Shilpi 13 years ago. Six months ago, he lived in Mumbai with his wife Shilpi, three children Shiva (12), Mehak (9) and Yash (9). His younger brother Ajit Singh and mother also lived with him.

Apart from Amit, his wife Shilpi and three children Shiva (12), Mehak (9) and Yash (9) live in the village. Amit used to drive a truck in Mumbai. Six months ago, he had become friends with Deepak, a resident of Sultanpur. Deepak also used to drive a truck in Mumbai. He is a resident of Kamtaganj of Kotwali Dehat, Sultanpur police station.

After friendship, Deepak started coming to Deepak’s house.

Due to friendship, Deepak started visiting Amit’s house in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Amit’s closeness with his wife Shilpi increased. Both of them will have an affair. When her husband Amit came to know about her affair, there was a fight between them. Later the family members made a compromise.

After this, Amit sent his wife Shilpi along with the children to Sultanpur in November 2025. He himself kept driving a truck while living in Mumbai. As soon as Shilpi came to Sultanpur, Deepak also left his job as a truck driver and came to Sultanpur. During this time, Shilpi kept coming to meet him from time to time.

Amit came home on 13 February for Mahashivratri. On Sunday, on the day of Mahashivratri, the whole family had gone to Janwari Nath Dham, 5 km away from home, for darshan. During this time, wife Shilpi Singh, husband Amit, 3 children and sister-in-law Aarti were present. First everyone visited the temple, then started roaming around the fair. Wife’s lover Deepak also came to this fair.

Amit’s sister-in-law Aarti told – There was a dispute between sister and brother-in-law regarding some issue in the fair. The dispute escalated so much that in anger Amit slapped Shilpi. Lover Deepak saw this whole matter. Everyone returned home on Sunday evening. Aarti also went to her home.

It is said that everyone had dinner together at night and slept. Deepak suddenly reached Shilpi’s house at around 5 in the morning. Before Shilpi could understand anything, Deepak had strangled Amit, who was sleeping in a separate room, with a knife.

After this Shilpi got scared. She quietly went to her parents’ home with the children.

Went to mother’s house and informed brother-in-law about the murder

At her parents’ house, she told her sister Aarti – her lover Deepak has murdered her husband Amit with a knife at 5 am today. He was hurt and angry by the slapping incident. After this, Shilpi called and told this to her brother-in-law Ajit living in Mumbai.

Brother-in-law informed the police

Brother-in-law Ajit called and informed the village people and Sultanpur police about the murder. After the information, police reached the spot. Amit’s body was lying in a bloody condition in the room. Police took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. After this, a raid was conducted and Shilpi was arrested from her maternal home. Meanwhile, accused Deepak fled from the spot after the murder. Teams have been deployed to search for him.
