When will CBSE Class 10th Phase-2 Board Exam be held? Opportunity to improve score, know date and rules

CBSE Class 10th Board Exams (CBSE Board 10th Exam 2026) are over. Evaluation of answer sheets is also going on. The results may be declared in April 2026. This year the Central Board of Secondary Education is going to conduct the class 10th board examination twice a year. For which the expected date sheet has also been released. Apart from this, the board has also announced the rules. Which schools and students will have to follow.

This year CBSE will not conduct supplementary examination for class 10th. Rather, candidates will be given a chance to improve their performance in the Phase-2 exam itself. Students can improve their scores in any three subjects namely Science, Mathematics, Social Science and Language subjects. The syllabus of both the exams will remain the same. There will be no change in the pattern either.

Eligibility for second examination

For the second examination also, students will have to submit separate LOC. However, new names will not be added for this. The first board exam will be the main one. New students of class 10th will be able to participate in this. Those who got second chance for compartment/students who had essential repeat category/improvement last year can become a part of it.

Those students who want to improve their performance in three subjects will be allowed to appear in the second board examination. Students having first or third compartment will also be allowed to join it. Students with compartment + improvement can also participate in this. Students who have passed the examination with replacement of subjects and want to improve their scores can also be a part of it.

Result and mark sheet will be released only after the second examination. According to the notice of the board, the results may be released in June. Only on the basis of this, admission in class 11th will be confirmed.

When will the exam be held?

CBSE had released the expected date sheet for class 10th second examination in September 2025 itself. The examination can start from May 15.
