Noida International Airport built in Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh is now ready. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this airport on March 28. After the completion of the first phase of this airport, built at a cost of about Rs 11,200 crore, now whether flights will start on it or not and for which cities the flights will start. Many such questions have come to the minds of people associated with this airport.

 

The date of March 28 has been fixed for the inauguration of this airport. According to the Union Civil Aviation Ministry, PM Modi will inspect the airport terminal at around 11.30 am and will formally inaugurate it at 12 noon. After this he will also address a public meeting. This airport will be the second major international airport for Delhi-NCR, which will help in reducing the pressure of Indira Gandhi International Airport.

When will the flights start?

Now there is only one question in the minds of people whether flights will start from this airport from March 28 itself or it will take more time. According to reports, it may take a few days for flights to resume after the inauguration. Its time has not been decided yet. According to Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu, there is usually a gap of 45 days between getting the aerodrome license and starting the flight service. This airport got the aerodrome license on March 11. In such a situation, flights can start at this airport by the last week of April.

No official announcement has been made yet about when flights will start flying at this airport. However, reports claim that if everything goes well, flights may start from Jewar Airport in the last week of April or early May. With the release of the schedule for the commencement of flights, the airlines will release their schedules and the process of ticket booking will also begin.

There is connectivity with these roads

There will hardly be any airport in the country which will have connectivity like Noida Airport. Usually airports are connected by one or two routes. Noida Airport will be connected to Yamuna Expressway, Ganga Expressway, Delhi Mumbai Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway and 60 and 130 meter wide road of Yamuna Authority. Apart from this, this airport will also be connected to the Regional Rapid Transit System.

Passengers will reach Delhi in 20 minutes

Jewar airport is also to be connected to the proposed high-speed bullet train from Delhi to Varanasi. Officials say that after the completion of the Bullet Train project, the 70 kilometer journey from Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan to Noida Airport will be completed in about 20 minutes. With this, Noida Airport will become the first international airport to be directly connected by high speed train. It will be beneficial for passengers going to Delhi by this bullet train to use this airport.
