Tezzbuzz Desk- IPL 2026 is going to start with great fanfare. This time the 19th edition will start from March 28 and in the first match, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Sunrisers Hyderabad. This match will be played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
BCCI had released the schedule of the first phase of IPL 2026 on March 11. A total of 20 matches will be played in 10 different venues in the first phase, which include Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati, New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. This phase will run from 28 March to 12 April.
The next day after the first match of IPL, there will be a game between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. There will be four double-header matches in the first phase. Afternoon matches will start at 3:30 pm and evening matches will start at 7:30 pm.
The first double-header match will be held on April 4. On this day, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians will face each other in the first match, which will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After this, in the second match, Gujarat Titans will face Rajasthan Royals at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
