Rejecting the concept of ‘regime change’, he said that the strategy of America and Israel was wrong from the beginning. According to him, the idea that the system would collapse by eliminating the top leadership was an illusion. He said that despite these attacks, the unity of the people has become stronger.

He said in his statement, “This war was started with the illusion that if the head of the system and some influential military officers are killed, then fear and despair will be created among the people, due to which the dream of capturing and breaking Iran will be fulfilled.”

Dividing this entire conflict into phases, Khamenei said that in the last one year the country has faced three military and security wars. Regarding the first phase, he said, “The first war took place in June, when the Zionist enemy, with the special help of America and amidst negotiations, killed about 1000 of our citizens.”

He further said that the enemy expected that unrest would spread within the country and the people themselves would topple the Islamic system, but this did not happen. He said, “In the June war, the enemy thought that the people would overthrow the system, but due to the vigilance of the people and the bravery of the fighters of Islam, this did not happen. On the contrary, the enemy showed signs of despair and ultimately had to resort to mediation and ceasefire.”
