According to experts, it is very important to keep yourself hydrated after workout. This is because the sweat produced due to workout depletes fluids and electrolytes in our body. Because of this it is important to drink water. However, drinking cold water immediately after a workout can be harmful. Because working out increases body temperature. In such a situation, drinking cold water can have adverse effects on health.

Disadvantages of drinking cold water after workout: Drinking cold water immediately after workout can reduce body temperature. Due to this you are very likely to catch cold. Drinking cold water can increase weight. Therefore experts recommend drinking normal water after workout. This not only reduces weight, but also removes other possible dangers. Drinking water immediately after workout also affects the heart rate. Because working out increases blood circulation. Similarly, drinking cold water reduces heart rate and blood circulation.

How much and how much water to drink before workout: According to the National Library of Medicine, drink 2 to 3 cups of water two hours before starting the workout. Additionally, drink 7 to 10 ounces of water 20 minutes after your workout. After 30 minutes, sit comfortably at one place and drink half a liter of water. Don't be in a hurry to drink too much water at once.
