Police said that during the investigation, the attacker was seen thrice outside Dadar Railway Station, the accused also went to Worli Koliwada where he was seen. In such a situation, the police analyzed more than 200 CCTV footage and then came to know that the accused had gone to Worli area. From there he caught a local train going towards Andheri, this came to light because the accused was also seen in the CCTV of Andheri station premises.

Who is Jitendra Pandey who gave important information?

During investigation, the police noticed that along with the accused there was also a labor contractor named Jitendra Pandey. Both of them were seen going towards Versova in Andheri area which was captured in the CCTV footage. Both were on a bike whose number was noted by the police, and they reached Pandey. The police detained him and interrogated him in which he told that the accused had called him and informed him about the incident.

Attacker caught through Pandey

Police said that it was because of labor contractor Jitendra Pandey that they reached the accused. Based on Pandey's information, the police searched for the accused in a forested area of Thane. The police asked Pandey to call the attacker's phone so that a trap could be laid. As per the plan, Pandey asked the accused about his whereabouts and the police arrested him.
