Lucknow team captained by Rishabh Pant won the toss and chose to bowl first. KKR struggled and scored a challenging score of 181 runs. Ajinkya Rahane scored 41 runs in 24 balls, while Angkrishna Raghuvanshi played an important inning of 45 runs.

Lucknow’s innings faltered and the team lost 6 wickets for 125 runs. After this, by the time we reached 128 runs, the 7th wicket also fell, due to which the hopes of victory were almost over. But from here Mukul Chaudhary took charge and changed the course of the match. He played an explosive inning of 54 runs in just 27 balls, which included 7 sixes and 2 fours. His strike rate was 200 and he snatched the victory from the hands of KKR.
Who is Mukul Chaudhary?
Mukul Chaudhary belongs to Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. He and his family have struggled a lot to reach this point. His father Dalip Chaudhary has been a teacher by profession and he worked hard to fulfill his son’s cricket dream. The family shifted to Jaipur to get better training. Mukul honed his game at SBS Cricket Academy in Sikar and trained there for many years.
Father’s dream, son fulfilled it
After the match, Mukul looked emotional after being named the player of the match. He told that his cricket journey had started even before his birth, because his father had a dream that his son should become a cricketer. He also said that due to weak financial condition he could not start cricket early and he started taking the game seriously at the age of 12-13. To move ahead, he moved from Sikar to Jaipur, so that he could prove himself on a bigger level.
