‘Who is real and who is fake saint’, Avimukteshwarananda raised questions on Yogi
Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati on Monday questioned Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s eligibility to be a monk. He asked why the biggest Hindu leader of the state, who wears saffron clothes, takes salary from the state government?
Swami Avimukteshwarananda said in Unnao that the ascetic should give up worldly pleasures and follow non-violence. Referring to Yogi Adityanath, he said that Yogi ji had mentioned ‘Kalanemi’ in the Magh Mela. Avimukteshwarananda said, ‘If someone says that Kalanemi has entered the biggest religious event Magh Mela, then we need to identify who is the real saint and who is the fake saint.’

Questions raised on Yogi’s salary
When the investigation started, the first attention was focused on the biggest Hindu leader of the state, Yogi Adityanath. His investigation revealed that he draws salary and allowances from the Uttar Pradesh government. Avimukteshwarananda said that this is against the rules of sannyasa.
He had earlier given 40 days time to Yogi ji to prove himself a true Hindu. So far 38 days have passed. He said, ‘In two days we will reach Lucknow after passing through Naimisharanya, only then the identity of real and fake will become clear.’
Why Gau Dharma Yudh Yatra?
Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati is currently on ‘Gau Dharma Yudh’ journey from Varanasi to Lucknow. This journey started on 7th March and will reach Lucknow on 11th March. There he will formally declare ‘Dharma Yudh’. He alleged that the number of cows in Uttar Pradesh has decreased in recent years. According to the cattle census, there has been a decline of about 18-19 lakh cows since 2012, while beef exports are increasing. Some reports said that beef export companies have donated to BJP.
Swami Avimukteshwarananda asked, ‘Can the votes of cow devotees and the money of people associated with cow slaughter be kept in the same bag?’ He said that this yatra is a ‘conch sound’ for the protection of Mother Cow. BJP had got our support on the issue of cow protection but now people’s patience is running out. The question of cow protection cannot be avoided.

Ashutosh Brahmachari had alleged
Ashutosh Brahmachari had accused Swami Avimukteshwarananda of molesting two minors and talked about an attack in the train.
