Pakistan star player and Test captain Shan Masood has created history as he achieves a great milestone with his heroic performance in the President’s Cup. However, he also surpasses some legends with impactful innings.

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood played a brilliant innings in the President’s Cup game between Sui Northern Gas and Sahar Associates. Masood scored 200 runs in just 177 balls on the opening day. However, with the great performance, he also surpassed the record made by legendary player Inzamam-ul-Haq, who had smashed double hundred off 188 balls in 1992 against England.

However, by the end of the day, Shan Masood was unbeaten as he was batting on 212 runs off 185 balls. The Pakistan star showcases his potential and skills. His batting was filled with full confidence and consistency. His remarkable innings helped his team to have a good start in the opener of the tournament.

Shan Masood’s great batting performance made a new statement in the cricket era as the Pakistan star thrashed one of the biggest records of all time. Which was made by Inzamam-ul-Haq. However, this does not end up here. Masood also surpasses Indian star Virender Sehwag’s achievement, who scored 200 runs off 182 balls during the 2006 Lahore Test.

This is the second double century for Masood this year. Two months ago, he scored 250 runs against Abbottabad while playing for Karachi Blues. The left-handed batsman has now scored five double centuries in first-class cricket.

Masood has had a fantastic year in List A cricket, scoring 1564 runs in 25 innings at an average of 71.1. In Test cricket, he has scored 397 runs in 10 innings at an average of 39.70, including one century and five half-centuries.
