New Delhi: Popular Telugu actor Shritej found himself embroiled in a controversy after a young woman filed a complaint accusing the actor of cheating her on the pretext of false promise of marriage. The complaint has been filed at Kukatpally Police Station under sections 69, 115(2), 318(2) under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The woman has also accused the actor of physical harassment and claimed Rs 20 lakh from him in compensation. Let’s explore who is the Telugu actor Sritej.

Shritej is an actor who majorly works in the Telugu film industry. He began his career with minor roles and gradually gained recognition for his character-driven roles. He gained fame with his performance in Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial, Lakshmi’s NTR. He also featured in a pivotal role in Narappa, which was a remake of Asuran. He received much praise for his role in Mangalavaaram. Additionally, Sritej has played a supporting role in Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa: The Rise.
However, the actor has yet to react to the complaint and allegations against him by the woman.
He has also been part of movies such as Dalari, Vangaveeti, Akshara, NTR: Kathanayakudu, Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam, Atagallu, and Pushpa: The Rise. He will be next seen in the highly-anticipated film Pushpa: The Rule.
Sritej controversies
Earlier, Shritej was booked for allegedly having an extra-marital affair with the wife of a banker. After the husband learned about the affair, he died of a heart attack. Later, a complaint was filed against the actor by the family members.
