Grealish picked his one countryman, Kyle Walker, to be the hardest opponent he has faced on the pitch. Walker, who is considered one of the fastest and toughest right-backs in the world.
“Kyle (Walker is his toughest opponent). He’s an unbelievable defender, pace, strong, one-v-one he is so hard to go past,” Grealish said.
Surprisingly, Grealish put Wan-Bissaka on No. 2 and lauded the defender’s skills in one-on-one situations.
“(Aaron) Wan-Bissaka? Yeah (I would have had him in my top three). He’s really good in one-v-one defending.
Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal and Grealish had a lot of furious meetings, especially in the UEFA Champions League. “Carvajal? We’ve played against each other so many times and had many good battles. Yeah, but I think we both are (wind-up merchants). We know what we are coming up against; his career speaks for itself. He’s had an unbelievable career.”
After a rough season in 2023-24 and getting excluded from the 2024 Euros squad, Grealish is back into the momentum playing for both the club and the country.
