Who is Tom Homan? Trump picks former ICE chief as border czar to crack down on illegal immigrants- The Week
Donald Trump is walking the talk as he appoints Tom Homan, the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as the border czar to crack down on illegal immigrants in the US.
Trump took to Truth Social late on Sunday to announce that the “stalwart on Border Control” will join his administration in charge of US borders.
The move comes after Trump vowed to launch the largest deportation operation in US history.
Trump said besides looking after the southern and northern borders as well as the aviation and maritime security, Homan will be charge of deporting illegal aliens back to their country of origin.
Who is Tom Homan?
Tom Homan served in the first Trump administration for one-and-a-half years. He is also a fellow at Heritage Foundation and author of Project 2025.
Homan too earlier announced in July that when Trump returns to White House in January, he will be on his heels and run the biggest deportation force that the US has ever seen.
Homan while addressing the Republican National Convention (RNC) said it is time for illegal aliens to “start packing, because you’re going home.”
