Vaishali Jogi, a resident of Chaura Raghunathpur village of Noida, has proved this saying to be true… Despite financial constraints, taunts from the society and initial displeasure of the family, Vaishali did not give up and made India proud on the international stage.
Vaishali represented India in the Miss Universe Bodybuilding Championship held between 12 to 14 June 2026 and won two gold medals in two different categories. Players from 21 countries including Pakistan, Nepal, America took part in this competition.
Who is Vaishali Jogi?
- Vaishali Jogi is a resident of Noida. She comes from an ordinary family. Due to poor financial condition at home, he had to leave his studies midway. Despite this, he decided to make his career in the field of bodybuilding and weightlifting.
- Vaishali has been working hard continuously for the last four years and has achieved many national and international achievements.
- Speaking to Read, Vaishali said that initially her family, relatives and society opposed her decision. People said that by doing bodybuilding their body and voice would become like boys and there would be problems in marriage too. However, his mother and brother supported him from the beginning. Later, when the family saw his achievements, everyone started supporting him.
- Vaishali told that proper diet is very important in bodybuilding, but due to financial constraints she was not able to take expensive diet. For many days, she used to go to the temple in the morning to clean and used to eat only the fruits found in Prasad as her diet.
- Gold winner Vaishali told that two years ago also she was selected for an international competition, but due to lack of money she could not participate. This time her father took a loan and financed the flight tickets and accommodation during the competition, after which she could go to Thailand and represent India.
- Vaishali said that after winning two gold medals, she expected that the country and society would respect her, but it did not happen. She said, when I was returning from Thailand, I felt that people would be proud of my achievement, but after coming here no one asked till recently.
- Vaishali said that players do not get the respect they deserve. He also appealed to the government to provide better support and respect to the players.
- Vaishali’s next goal is to represent India in weightlifting at the Olympics. She says that she wants to make the name of her family, village and country famous in the whole world.
- Vaishali’s father Subhash Jogi runs a small milk dairy, while her mother Urmila is a housewife.
- While talking to Read, Vaishali’s parents became emotional over their daughter’s success. With tears in his eyes, he said that he is proud of Vaishali and he wants his daughter to continue to bring glory to the country by representing India at the international level.
