Who is Vijay Thalapathy?
Actor Vijay was born as Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar on 22 June 1974 in Madras, Tamil Nadu. His father, S.A. Chandrashekhar, is a film director and his mother, Shobha Chandrashekhar, is a playback singer. His father is Christian and his mother is Hindu. Actor Vijay had a sister, Vidya, who died at the age of two. The actor did his early schooling from Fathima School, Kodambakkam and later from Balalok School, Virugambakkam. She attempted to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications from Loyola College, but dropped out to focus on her acting career.
Started career as child artist
Vijay Thalapathi played the role of a child artist in the film ‘Vetri’ directed by his father in the year 1984. Started as a child artist with the role. He joined S.A. in the 1980s. Some had demanded to ban the film. The All India Muslim Jamaat had also reportedly issued a fatwa against Vijay regarding the Iftar party, alleging that persons were present there who were indulging in un-Islamic activities, such as consumption of alcohol and gambling.
