Chandrashekhar, is a film director and his mother, Shobha Chandrashekhar, is a playback singer. His father is Christian and his mother is Hindu. Actor Vijay had a sister, Vidya, who died at the age of two. The actor did his early schooling from Fathima School, Kodambakkam and later from Balalok School, Virugambakkam. She attempted to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications from Loyola College, but dropped out to focus on her acting career.
