In February 2011, Gagandeep Singh happily left his home in south-east London to meet his family in Brighton and meet the love of his life. After this she never returned home and even when she returned, her dead body was found. Actually, it was a honeytrap in which Gagandeep Singh lost his life.

Gagandeep Singh and Mundil Mahil’s love was a love triangle, in which Gagandeep Singh’s body was found in the trunk of a burnt Mercedes. After all, how an unsuspecting Sikh youth was trapped in the trap of death by the same woman whom he loved immensely. Now after one and a half decade, his sister Amandeep Singh has revealed his last horrifying moments, which shocks, surprises and also gives pain.

According to sister Amandeep Singh, her brother was only 21 years old and had started his career in the TV industry. During this time, the brother fell in love with a beautiful 19-year-old medical student. Both loved each other. In February 2011, Gagandeep Singh left his family home in south-east London for Brighton after medical student Mundeel Mahil had called him to meet her.

Sister Amandeep Singh recalls that moment and says that then mother had told Gagandeep that he was not wearing appropriate clothes to go to the party, because brother was wearing a hoodie. After this Gagandeep told his mother that he was going to a party and would return home only late at night. No one knew that such a bad fate was going to happen to his brother. The next morning, Bhai Gagandeep Singh’s body was found in the trunk of the burnt Mercedes. To cover this journey of 62 miles, he had borrowed a car from his sister. The brother was also brutally beaten before being put in the same car and setting it on fire.

There was a stir from Britain to India

After this revelation there was a stir from Britain to India. Government lawyers argued that Mundil Mahil’s motive was revenge because six months ago she had told her friends that Gagandeep Singh had sexually assaulted her. Due to this she was completely broken. One of those friends, Harinder Shokar, along with one of his friends, had vowed to ‘teach a lesson’ to Gagandeep Singh. It is said that the relationship between Gagandeep and Mahil Mundil deteriorated when Gagandeep tried to rape her in August 2010.

The court had sentenced Mahil to only 6 years of imprisonment.

Harinder Shokar, who was 20 years old at that time, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the court for the murder of Gagandeep Singh, while Mundil Mahil was sentenced to only 6 years in jail for the crime of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). The jury found that Mundil was not guilty of murdering her lover Gagandeep Singh, but she had trapped him in the trap of death.

Gagan Deep and Harinder both loved Mahil

According to sister Amandeep, he knew Mahil Mundil since teenage. It is said that both Harinder Shokar and Gagandeep Singh were crazy about Mundil Mahil. Mahil already knew Harinder Shokar as she had met him at a Sikh martial arts club. However, later Gagandeep Singh sent him a friend request on Facebook and both became friends.

Both Gagandeep Singh and Harinder Shokar were in love with Mundil Mahil and this is where a poisonous love triangle was formed. Amandeep says that one of the most difficult things for our family is to know that the last words that came out of my brother’s mouth were Mundil Mahil’s name. From this it can be estimated how much he loved his girlfriend.

Gagandeep was very religious

Sister Amandeep, remembering her brother Gagandeep Singh, says that he had become an Amritdhari Sikh. Along with this, he started following religious rules with full dedication. This new passion of his inspired him to start a digital channel named ‘Sikh TV’ in October 2010.
