Who did it, how did it happen? Pahalgam terrorist attack conspiracy will be exposed, NIA is going to file charge sheet.

Pahalgam Terrorist Attack Case: After completing the investigation of the major terrorist attack that took place on April 22, 2025 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will file a charge sheet in the special NIA court of Jammu today. This chargesheet is likely to expose the mastermind of the attack and the entire network. According to sources, Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed and deputy chief Saifullah Kasuri can be said to be the main conspirators of this attack.

The charge sheet will also include the names of three local accused Bashir Ahmed Jothar, Parvez Ahmed Jothar and Mohammad Yusuf Katari. He is accused of playing an important role in recruiting and helping three Pakistani terrorists. NIA investigation revealed that the Jothar brothers had hosted the terrorists in a dhok (hut) in Hill Park area on the night of April 21. Both were arrested on June 22.

Terrorist incident happened on 22 April

On April 22, terrorists had fired indiscriminately on tourists in Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam. 25 tourists and a pony driver were killed in this brutal attack. The attackers killed people by asking their religion and forced many to recite Kalma. This attack is considered to be one of the biggest terrorist incidents ever targeting tourists in the valley.

Security forces had killed 3 Pakistani terrorists

After the attack, the security forces launched a massive search operation and on July 28, they killed all three Pakistani terrorists Sulaiman Shah, Hamza Afghani alias Afghan and Jibran in the forests of Dachigam. The NIA questioned more than 1000 people during the investigation, including tourists, pony riders, photographers and shopkeepers. Forensic examination of the seized mobile phones and other recoveries was conducted at the National Forensic Science University, Gandhinagar.

NIA says that along with Lashkar-e-Taiba, the role of its local associate organization The Resistance Front (TRF) has also come to light. Pakistani numbers found from the phones of Jothar brothers proved important in connecting this network.

After the Pahalgam attack, India had launched ‘Operation Sindoor’.

After this attack, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ on 7 May; A big military campaign was started by name. The Indian Air Force carried out air strikes on 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK, in which information about the killing of about 100 terrorists was revealed. After this, there was a situation of firing and aerial confrontation between the two countries for four days, which ended after a mutual agreement on May 10. The charge sheet is expected to reveal all the evidence related to the terrorist network, local helpers and the conspiracy of the attack.
