New Delhi: Donald Trump is going to take oath as President for the second time on January 20. Prominent leaders of many countries have been invited to his swearing-in ceremony, including China. China has informed that Vice President Han Zheng will attend the ceremony in place of President Xi Jinping. This is the first time a senior Chinese leader will participate in such an occasion. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will participate in the event from India's side, who has received an invitation from the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee.

Foreign leaders attending Trump's inauguration include Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Argentinian President Javier Mili, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Apart from this, many prominent American personalities will also be a part of the event.
Vice President Kamala Harris will also attend
Trump's wife Melania and members of his family will attend. Additionally, outgoing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will also participate. Biden's wife Jill Biden and Harris' husband Doug Emhoff will also be present on the occasion. Along with this, former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama will also attend the event. According to media reports, billionaire businessmen such as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and Xu Chu, head of Chinese social media platform TikTok, are also expected to attend the event. China said in a statement that it is willing to enhance dialogue with the new US government and make mutual relations stable and healthy, so as to improve cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
