Real Valladolid vs. Real Madrid: Predicted Los Blancos XI for La Liga contest
Buzz looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Saturday’s La Liga clash with Real Valladolid.
Real Madrid will be without the services of Vinicius Junior for Saturday’s La Liga clash with Real Valladolid.
The Brazil international was at his best in the Champions League on Wednesday night, scoring twice as his side recorded a 5-1 victory over Red Bull Salzburg in their penultimate match in the league phase of the competition.
However, Vinicius will serve the final game of his two-match league suspension this weekend, while Edward Camavinga, You Militao and Dani Carvajal are out of the match through injury.
Aurelien Tchouameni was an unused substitute against Salzburg due to a minor muscular problem, but the France international is expected to be back in the middle of the Real Madrid midfield this weekend.
Lucas Vazquez should return at right-back, having been suspended for the team’s Champions League game against Salzburg, which would see Federico Valverde return to his usual midfield spot.
Brahim Diaz is expected to be the player to benefit from Vinicius’ suspension, with the Morocco international likely to join Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappe in the final third of the field, although Arda Guler is another option.
There had been some concern over a minor back issue which Jude Bellingham suffered against Salzburg, but the England international has been cleared to take to the field for the first whistle.
Meanwhile, fit-again David Alaba will be hoping to earn more minutes off the bench this weekend.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Courtois; Vazquez, Asencio, Rudiger, Mendy; Valverde, Tchouameni, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Brahim
