Race for the post of PM in BJP: Amit Shah comes out in front, even Yogi is not behind

After Prime Minister Modi, mainly three big faces were kept in the race as contenders for the post of PM in BJP. The shocking results of the survey have revealed that 28 percent people have declared Union Home Minister Amit Shah as their first choice. In this way, in the eyes of the public, Amit Shah is currently seen as the front runner in this big race.

However, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also giving a tough competition to Amit Shah. 26 percent of the people of the country believed that Yogi Adityanath can prove to be the best face as the next PM. At the same time, the public showed the least interest in Nitin Gadkari as the third option. He could get the support of only seven percent people in this race.

About 52 percent people still chose PM Modi as their first and most favorite choice as the Prime Minister of the country. On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi could get only 25 percent votes in answer to this question.

Public opinion was also sought regarding the functioning of Rahul Gandhi, who is playing the role of Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Parliament. In response to this question, 28 percent people of the country described his performance as ‘very good’, while 22 percent people believe that his work has been ‘good’. Apart from this, in the eyes of 16 percent people, Rahul Gandhi’s performance was of ‘average’ category. However, some people also seemed unhappy with his work; While 15 percent people described his performance as ‘poor’, 12 percent people clearly believed that Rahul Gandhi has performed ‘very poorly’ as the leader of the opposition.

Direct opinion of 54 thousand 788 adult citizens of every age group, caste, religion and gender was taken between July 1 and August 14, 2025 in all the states and Lok Sabha constituencies of the country. Along with this, an in-depth analysis of the opinions taken from 1 lakh 52 thousand 38 people across the country during the last 24 weeks has also been added to this final report. In this way, these figures have been presented before the country by accurately extracting the opinions of a total of 2 lakh 6 thousand 826 people. According to experts, there can be a margin of error (fluctuation) of 3 percent in these big political figures and at a very fine level, it can be 5 percent.
