‘Whoever does an encounter will have an encounter’, why did the AIMIM leader give such a statement?

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Uttar Pradesh chief Haji Shaukat Ali has created a major political controversy. Addressing his supporters he said that anyone who harms a Muslim will be killed in an encounter.

Shaukat Ali said, ‘If you give us only 11 MLAs in Uttar Pradesh, not 111, then they will show their strength and anyone who encounters a Muslim will also be encountered.’ He promised that he is going with this confidence.

‘One stick, one flag and one leader’

Talking about the security of mosques and madrassas, he told his supporters that if they have to be protected then they will have to unite under ‘one stick, one flag and one leader’.

He also talked about development and said that development should not only reach Gorakhpur and Saifai but also cities like Meerut. Referring to the statement of Meerut Captain about canceling the licenses of those offering Namaz on the road, Shaukat Ali expressed hope that similar action would be taken against things like Naagin dance in front of mosques during Ram Navami procession.

Accusation of closing Madrassa

The AIMIM leader claimed that Muslims had a big contribution in the country’s independence but a lot of injustice has been done to them. He alleged that madrassas were closed, houses were demolished on false charges and people were shot. Criticizing other political parties, he said that those who elected 111 MLAs are now saying that this is not their government.

New alliance in West Bengal

On the other hand, AIMIM national president Asaduddin Owaisi has announced that his party will contest the upcoming West Bengal assembly elections in alliance with Humayun Kabir’s Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP).

AJUP founder and former Trinamool Congress leader Humayun Kabir said his party will contest 182 seats in the 2026 West Bengal assembly elections. AIMIM will field its candidates on about 8 seats in this alliance.
