Retail inflation also increased

Earlier, the government had released retail inflation figures, in which the retail inflation rate has increased to 4.38 percent on an annual basis in June, which was 3.93 percent in May. According to the data released by the ministry, retail inflation in rural areas has increased to 4.74 percent in June from 4.25 percent in May. At the same time, the inflation rate in urban areas has increased to 3.92 percent in June, which was 3.53 percent in May. Retail food inflation rate in June was 5.32 percent. It was 4.78 percent in May.

According to the data released by the government, the five things which had the highest inflation rate on an annual basis in June. They include silver jewelery (133.21 per cent), ginger (50.41 per cent), gold/diamond/platinum jewelery (36.82 per cent), tomato (31.92 per cent) and raisins and raisins (20.52 per cent).
