Wholesale sales of passenger vehicles increased by nearly 19 percent in November.

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said in a statement that total sales of passenger vehicles increased by 18.7 percent to 4,12,405 units in November from 3,47,522 units year-on-year (SIAM report).

Wholesale sales of automotive industry leader Maruti Suzuki India stood at 1,70,971 units in November, which is 21 percent more than 1,41,312 units in November 2024.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s wholesale sales increased by 22 percent to 56,336 units from 46,222 units year-on-year. Hyundai Motor India’s wholesale sales increased by four percent to 50,340 units in the month under review from 48,246 units in November 2024 (vehicle demand rise).

Wholesale sales of two-wheelers increased by 21 percent to 19,44,475 units as compared to 16,04,749 units in November. Wholesale sales of scooters increased by 29 percent year-on-year to 7,35,753 units in November from 5,68,580 units in November 2024.

Wholesale sales of motorcycles increased by 17.5 percent to 11,63,751 units last month compared to 9,90,246 units in November 2024. Total wholesale sales of three-wheelers increased by 21 percent year-on-year to 71,999 units in November.
