Why did Amrita give sleeping pills to Saif?

Once, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ director Sooraj Barjatya had revealed this story in an interview given to Rajshri. He had said, “When we were shooting the song ‘Suno Ji Dulhan’, Saif had to do retakes again and again. I thought Saif was a completely natural actor. Since the film is comedy and family, the scene should be done in one take only. Then I talked to his wife Amrita Singh and told her the whole thing. Then Amrita told me that she would not sleep the whole night worrying about how to remember her lines. Then I myself told a trick to Amrita that she should give a sleeping pill to Saif while sleeping. So that they can sleep comfortably.”

What happened when Saif woke up the next morning?

Sooraj Barjatya further said, “Then Amrita Singh secretly gave sleeping pills to Saif Ali at night. The next day when Saif woke up and came to the set, he completed the scene in just one take. He himself could not believe how this happened. So I told him that you are a natural actor. Sleep properly, only then this will happen. At that time, Saif was very nervous about his role and was also under pressure to work with big actors, so he used to memorize his dialogues again and again.
