Didier Deschamps has shed light on the reasons behind his decision to leave the France national team, admitting that the atmosphere surrounding Les Bleus had become increasingly difficult to manage during the latter stages of his tenure.
The 56-year-old officially brought the curtain down on a remarkable 14-year spell in charge following France’s fourth-place finish at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
