Delhi. IndiGo’s flight from Delhi to Manchester had to turn back midway due to airspace restrictions. Flight number 6E 033 had taken off from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport for Manchester, UK, but had to return to Delhi at the last minute due to airspace restrictions, an airline spokesperson said.
According to sources, there were more than 250 people on board the plane. The spokesperson said that this has happened due to the current situation in West Asia and surrounding areas. According to Flight Radar, an independent agency that tracks flights, the Boeing 787-9 aircraft took off from Delhi airport at 12.43 am on Sunday-Monday night. The plane landed back in Delhi at 2.07 pm. He said that the plane turned back to Delhi near the border of Ethiopia and Eritrea.
