Have joined TAC before

His entry into the party has come at a time when BJP is busy campaigning in full swing in Bengal. Elections are to be held in the state in two phases on April 23 and April 29.

Before this, Paes had joined TMC in the year 2021 and also campaigned for the party during the 2022 Goa elections. However, he has not contested any election yet.

Some experts believe that Paes will still not contest the assembly and possibly after the elections, whenever the Rajya Sabha seat from Bengal becomes vacant, he can be sent to the Rajya Sabha. Now he will campaign for the party.
