Why do women's menstruation stop after 40, what changes occur in the body after menopause, know here…

New Delhi:- World Menopause Day is celebrated across the world on 18 October with the aim of spreading awareness among people about the changes that occur in women's bodies during menopause and what they have to face during that phase.
If a woman aged 45-55 years does not get menstruation for one year after her last menstruation, then it is called menopause. During this time, there is a change in hormones in the woman's body and she stops ovulating. The process of menopause starts when the number of follicles developing every month in the body starts decreasing. It is because of follicles that the ovaries release eggs in the woman's body. Along with this, the level and production of the reproductive hormone estrogen starts decreasing. Therefore, when the follicles and production of estrogen and progesterone stop, the menstrual cycle also stops and this condition is called menopause.

Problems occurring during menopause

Menopause is not a disease. This is a natural process. The duration of this process varies from one woman to another and during this time she has to face many physical and mental problems, which can also hamper her day-to-day activities. Such as..
frequent mood swings
increased appetite, desire to eat
sudden hair loss
skin discoloration (spots or patches)
night sweats/hot flashes
change in body weight
digestive problems

joint pain
stress, anxiety, depression
irritability
How to deal with these problems
Some things suggested by nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar can help those going through this phase, such as…

ensure proper diet

Do not stick to any particular diet. Since many changes occur in the body during menopause, it is important that you get all the nutrients as well as micronutrients through your diet. For this, your diet should be local, seasonal and traditional. A traditional Indian diet provides you with a variety of nutrients. Do not fast or compromise with your diet. Eat a sustainable diet. Lack of nutrition can cause adverse symptoms.

Exercise regularly

During menopause, women often experience lack of energy, weakness and fatigue, for which exercise is very important. Diwekar says that you should do such exercises which increase the strength, stamina, flexibility and stability of the body. Yoga will help you in all this. Exercise at least 3 hours a week which should include strength training, cardio and yoga.

take proper rest

Make sure you take a 20-minute nap in the afternoon and go to bed between 9:30-11 pm. This will help in removing fatigue, which is often felt at this time. Follow proper sleep hygiene.
