Why does Manu Bhaker want to add Doctor to her name? – Read

Manu Bhaker created history by winning two bronze medals in the Paris Olympics. Her coach Jaspal Rana was also praised for this success. However, now after success, Manu has also revealed her next goal. Manu said, “I want to do PhD because my mother wishes that my name should have ‘Doctor’.” Therefore, Manu Bhaker is studying hard along with shooting. She revealed this in an award ceremony organized by Delhi State Rifle Association. She told in this program that she has done post graduation in public administration and wants to do PhD in future.

She wants to do PhD for her mother’s happiness

DSRA hosted a dinner in honour of Paralympic shooting coach Subhash Rana along with the success of Manu Bhaker and Jaspal Rana. During this, the athletes were also felicitated. In this programme, Manu Bhaker said that she is on a break from shooting, after a break of a few months, she will return to the shooting range again. Then she will start preparing for the next Olympics.

Manu said that ‘My mother wants the word doctor before my name.’ She also thanked DSRA on this occasion. Manu said that her journey to success in the Olympics would not have been possible without coach Jaspal Rana. She got inspiration and strength only due to the constant encouragement of Jaspal Rana and the support of her family. Manu also thanked her teammates for their support during this journey.

Coach Jaspal Rana was also present at the ceremony. He praised Manu Bhaker a lot. He said that ‘Manu’s success has been appreciated by the whole country, as a coach it is a matter of happiness and pride for me. There is hard work behind this success.’ Delhi State Rifle Association Chairman Jaspal Rana said that he will continue to try to bring the country’s young talent forward according to his ability. He demanded ample opportunity and every possible support for this.

DSRA Vice Chairman hosted the ceremony

Delhi State Rifle Association Vice Chairman Jaspal Singh Marwah hosted a dinner in Vasant Kunj area in honour of both shooting legends Jaspal Rana and Manu Bhaker, in which apart from all the officials associated with the DSRA association, many big faces of the capital were seen. On this occasion, Indian Para Shooting Team coach Subhash Rana was also felicitated by DSRA for the excellent performance of his shooters in the Paralympics, along with senior advocate Gaurav Sareen was also felicitated.

Many big faces of shooting were seen in the ceremony

On this occasion, many important people from the capital associated with shooting were present, including Asian and Commonwealth Games medalist shooter Vikram Bhatnagar, cost officer of the Union Ministry of Education Manmohan Kaur and coach of the Indian junior shooting team Rajiv Sharma. Former DSRA president H.S. Bedi and former secretary Mohan Lal Sehgal also attended the program. Among the current office bearers, secretary and senior lawyer Akshay Anand, joint secretary Ishwinderjit Singh, besides governing board members Shakun Bhugra, journalist Farid Ali, Ajit Singh Ranhotra and Achal Sehgal were present. Former senior officer of the Sports Authority of India Manmeet Singh, shooters Nishant Mangala, Harshneet Singh Marwah, Bhrigu Dutt, Shaurya Sareen, armourer R.K. Sharma, coach Falak Sher Alam, Vineet Chopra and Ayesha Falak also participated.
