Thousands of users of X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, reported problems accessing the service on June 22, triggering widespread concerns about another major outage.
According to outage-tracking platform DownDetector, reports of issues began rising sharply around evening (IST). More than 11,000 users reported problems with various parts of the platform, including the mobile app, website, and feed functionality.
Why Is X Down Today?
The exact cause of the outage has not yet been officially confirmed by X. However, users across multiple regions reported difficulties loading posts, refreshing timelines, and accessing content through both the app and website.
Based on DownDetector data:
- 49% of reported issues were related to the X mobile app.
- 28% involved feed and timeline loading problems.
- 15% were linked to the website.
- The remaining reports covered login and connectivity issues.
As of now, X has not released a statement explaining the disruption or providing a timeline for full service restoration.
