Why Jannat Mirza prefers TikTok to big screen

Jannat Mirza, Pakistan’s leading TikToker with over 10 million followers, recently appeared on “Girls Only” and shared her preference for TikTok over cinema.

She explained that today’s youth prefer affordable, accessible entertainment like TikTok instead of spending on expensive cinema tickets.

According to Jannat, the trend of staying home and scrolling through TikTok has overshadowed the appeal of going to the movies.

Reflecting on her early days as a content creator, Jannat admitted to making videos she now considers “cringe.” At the time, such videos were popular, but she confessed she cannot watch them now due to their outdated style.

While TikTok remains her primary focus, Jannat has also ventured into acting and modeling. Her film debut in Syed Noor’s Teray Bajray Di Rakhi didn’t perform well, but she is expanding her career by signing with a modeling agency in Japan, her second home.

Jannat Mirza firmly believes that TikTok holds more relevance for the younger generation than traditional cinema, making it her top choice.
