Shahrukh Khan got the role of Hanuman, this is why he rejected such a big offer
Shah Rukh Khan Rejected Hanuman Role: Shahrukh Khan, who is called the King of Bollywood, is once again in the news, but this time the reason is not his new film but an old video. This video, which is becoming increasingly viral on social media, has shocked the fans, because in it Shahrukh himself is seen making such a revelation, which everyone is surprised to hear. The news is that he once got an offer to play the role of Lord Hanuman, but he himself rejected it.
When Hanuman’s offer came from Hollywood
This incident is not of today but of around the year 2011, when Shahrukh was busy in the promotion of his film ‘Ra.One’. During that time, in an interview, he told that famous Hollywood director Tony Scott had told him the concept of a special film. This concept was from the time when characters like Superman and Batman were not that popular in the world.

Shahrukh told that the idea was to present Lord Hanuman as a superhero in that film. The concept of the film was quite different and interesting, in which Hanuman ji was to be shown in a modern style, and his tail was visible only during action. As unique as this idea sounded, it was also considered equally risky.
After all, why did Shahrukh say ‘no’?
Despite getting such a big and different role, Shahrukh Khan did not accept it. He himself had told the reason behind this. According to Shahrukh, at that time his English was not as strong as is required for an international project.
He jokingly said that if he had got a silent role in which he did not have to speak, he might have done it. As light-hearted as his answer seemed, it was equally honest. This clearly shows how conscious Shahrukh is about his work and does not hesitate to step back where he feels that he does not fit in completely.
Shahrukh’s superhero vision is also special
During this conversation, Shahrukh had also expressed his wish, which remains in discussion even today. He had said that he wanted to present Indian mythology in modern superhero style. His dream was to make Mahabharata in the style of X-Men, so that the new generation could understand their history and gods from a new perspective.
He also admitted that doing so could lead to controversy, but his only aim was to bring the children closer to their religion and history. He also linked his film ‘Ra.One’ with this thinking, in which the fight between good and evil was shown in a new way.
Interesting twist regarding ‘Ramayana’
Meanwhile, another big news is in discussion in the film industry. Ranbir Kapoor’s most awaited film ‘Ramayana’ is going to be released before the audience soon. But few people know that Ranbir had also initially rejected the offer of this film.
He himself told in an event that he felt that he would not be able to do justice to this character. He feared that he might not prove to be the right choice for this role. However, later he changed his mind and decided to be a part of this project.
In this way, Shahrukh’s old revelation on one hand and Ranbir’s recent statement on the other, both together show how serious even big stars are about a character and take every decision thoughtfully.
